Temperatures of 70°C at heavy load are typical for the 3700X, while the 9700k runs closer to 65°C. When overclocked, the 3700X can see temps of 80°C or higher. Compare this to overclocked temps of below 75°C for the 9700k. New CPU's can handle high temps, but this does contribute to the overall heat output and noise level of your system.Just installed my 9700k and H115i. Idle it's running about 30-40c.
