2004 Acura MDX all wheel drive with 3rd row of seats, excellent condition, regularly maintained, 240,000 miles but expect to last a long time. Never been in an accident, front leather seats reupholstered 2 years ago. Newer tires, new front struts, 3.6 liter engine. Bose sound system with 6 cd player. Very comfortable ride and good snow/ winter driving.

The Japanese carmaker says there have been no crashes related to the problem. 2004 MDX 2nd Transmission Replacement 1st one replaced at 76,000 miles under extended warranty and 2nd one just replaced by third party transmission shop at 146,000 miles. In both cases I had little to no warning prior to complete failure. Third party shop replaced the transmission for $3200 and gave me a 3 year, 100k mile warranty.
The Acura MDX is a totally new sport-utility vehicle. It represents Honda's acceptance that the luxury SUV market is big and still rapidly growing. If Honda ever believed sport-utility vehicles would become such a monster success in the marketplace the company did not act like it.
